What to Expect in a Session

The initial session is approximately one hour, with follow-up sessions typically lasting between 30 and 45 minutes. Treatment is performed through light clothing, with blankets available if needed.

During the session, gentle, precise movements are applied, with natural pauses in between. These pauses are an important part of the process, giving your body time to respond and begin restoring balance in its own way.

Sessions are calm and unhurried, with gentle background music creating a relaxed environment.

Fees

Initial Consultation (60 minutes) – $120
A full Bowen Therapy session tailored to your individual needs.

Follow-up Sessions (30–45 minutes) – $90
Ongoing sessions to support your body’s natural healing process.

Treatment Package – 5 Sessions for $400
A discounted package for those who would benefit from a series of sessions.

Children’s Sessions

  • Newborn to 1 year – Free (approximately 15 minutes)
  • 1 to 2 years – $30 (approximately 20 minutes)
  • 2 to 12 years – $50 (approximately 30 minutes)

A complimentary session for a child (aged 1 - 12) is available when a parent is also receiving treatment.

After your Bowen Therapy Session

To support your body’s response to treatment:

Stay well hydrated
Aim to drink plenty of water over the next few days, as your body continues to respond to treatment and may be releasing toxins. As a general guide, around 1–3 litres per day (depending on your body size) can help support this process.

Keep gently moving
Avoid sitting for long periods. Try to move or stretch every 30–60 minutes.

Avoid other bodywork
Where possible, avoid massage or other therapies for a few days, as they may interfere with your body’s response.

Avoid extreme temperatures
This includes heat packs, ice packs, and very hot showers for a few days.before improving. Gentle walking and rest can help. If you have any concerns, please feel free to get in touch.

Take it easy
Avoid strenuous exercise for a few days. Gentle movement is encouraged.

Follow-up sessions

Follow-up sessions are often helpful and are usually spaced about one week apart. For more chronic or long-standing concerns, a series of 3–5 sessions may support longer-term improvement.

Occasionally, symptoms may briefly increase

Appointments are available most evenings, as well as between 10am and 4pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Last-minute appointments

If you’re looking for a same-day or short-notice appointment, please send a text and I’ll let you know what availability I have.

Changes and cancellations

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible.

Where possible, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice, as this allows the time to be offered to someone else. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee.
